The training workshop in Florida turned out really well. We had over 20 participants, which is alot more than we expected, especially considering the invites went out by word of mouth and a few emails. We had the group split up into three teams and they each rotated through a station for building the control board, putting together the batteries, and assembling the solar panels. At the end, we brought everyone together for commissioning the system (fancy word for turning it on). There was much excitement when they saw the solar system that they had built running a fan. I even heard a lady point to the wires that she and another woman had installed and exclaim that they had done that :) That equipment will be shipped down to an orphanage in Haiti. Some of them may even go to see the final installation. But they all had a hand in building it, which I know is a great feeling. Thanks Craig and Allen for the photos. More are posted on the Spanish River Church site here.
