The team arrived safely in Panama City yesterday and we are now settled in our hotel in the town of Santa Catalina. Tomorrow we will take a boat ride to the island and get everything scoped out for the different projects we are doing there. Hopefully the solar team can get a good start on the work as we have much to do. Keep us in your prayers please. I can already tell we have have a great team and we're excited to be here. This should be an amazing week, to God be the glory!

I am almost ready for the next SLP mission. For the last week I've been going over equipment lists and making plans for the three different installs we will do. This will be a full SLP team with a group for fiesta activities. The fiesta team will interact with the children with games and fun activities that teach Biblical lessons, like a short VBS. The technical team will install a small solar system at a church and two medium sized systems, one at a school and one at a clinic. The install locations will be on an island in the province of Veraguas, Panama. We'll be staying in a small coastal town called Santa Catalina and taking a boat over to Isla Gobernadora each day. This will be my first trip to the country of Panama and it looks to be adventurous. :D Speaking of, please keep the team/mission in your prayers. We will be there from this Saturday (the 15th) until the Sunday of the following week (the 23rd). Thank ya much !!
I have posted the photo album for my most recent trip to Haiti (Mission #20). I still need to finish the photo albums for last years missions (Mission #17 - 19). I promise I am working on them. I should have them finished before I leave for my next mission. Speaking of which, the next mission has been booked. :)
I am going to Panama, a new country :D, from March 15th through the 23rd. SLP is sending a largish team to an island just off the coast of Panama. We will be installing solar in a school, clinic, and church. There will be a SLP fiesta team to minister to the children and a small medical mission. The full-time missionaries there will also be hosting a Serve & Surf ministry team. So ...... we will apparently get the opportunity to learn surfing on our off day. Yep, there are indeed perks in the life of a missionary. :D |
