I am currently on a train in Miami :-) Allen and I will be teaching in a SLP solar workshop with our friend Craig Kindell at Spanish River Church. Then on Monday we are going to Cap Haitian, Haiti for a quick 2 day trip. There we will do a site survey for a new project and troubleshooting on an existing system. We return to Miami on Wednesday and then back home on Thursday. It should be a good week.

What a week we've had! We moved into our new home on Sunday! We are renting a beautiful 2 story house with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths within walking distance from the church. It is up on a big hill so there is always a wonderful breeze and a pretty decent view. For the following 3 days I have been going from one store to another getting some of the hundreds of things needed for a home. We were able to find a used fridge and stove from another missionary for a very good price. We got a new bed, microwave, and coffee maker (very important) :-D Then on Thursday we had our first bbq and had several friends over from the church! We had a great time time and the house was filled with laughter and fellowship.

And now we are at the airport awaiting a flight to the States! We will be in Houston till Dec 29th, then going to Virginia for two days, then on to Saint Louis for 6 days, back to Houston for 4 days, spend a day in Louisiana, and finally back to our home on Jan 11th. Whew! We are so blessed and looking forward to seeing all our friends and family :-D Have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year!!

I was able to join Ignites Christmas mission here in Honduras last week. They had a team come from several different States to spread the love of Christ.  We spent two days going to 12 different schools to hand out hundreds and hundreds of stockings and sing songs with the kids. All along the awesome dirt roads of the Honduras mountains. What FUN !! :D Here are some pics for your enjoyment. Have a wonderful Christmas season !!! 

Sutton and I have been full-time missionaries here in Honduras for a little over a year now. He has been working hard at the school (TCA) and I have been helping out where I can in addition to the SLP solar missions. We have been burdened to do more with ministries here but have been unclear as to how. We believe the Lord has finally given us that direction. We met a wonderful couple by the name of Sam and Peggy Feazel who run a Christian non-profit organization called Ignite Missions. Their vision is to plant churches in remote villages and disciple new believers, which is exactly the desire that God has placed in our hearts. They have many outreach ministries which bring in teams who do anything from construction to medical / dental to VBS and more. The ultimate goal of every activity is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and see lives transformed for God. You can learn more about their ministries on their website at: www.ignitemissions.org. 

We have been talking with Sam and Peggy about joining with them and what it takes to become Ignite missionaries. We are now officially Ignite missionary candidates and are scheduled to go before their board in January. Please be in prayer for us that the Lord would make His desires clear; that He would open the doors He wants open and shut the doors He wants shut.

Additionally, for those of you living in TX, Ignite will be having a big fund raising event in Houston (Cypress) on Nov 17th. Sam suggested that we invite our Houston friends to come out and see what it is they do. We just finished a week long mission here in our home country of Honduras :D Cobblestone Community Church joined with SonLight Power to bring light and hope to three remote communities in Honduras. We definitely had our shares of challenges. The major one being that the equipment is STILL stuck in customs. We had to put together three systems with what we had in storage and what we were able to buy here in Tegucigalpa. God provided a way to make it work and all three schools now have physical light and the spiritual light of Christ's love. The weather even cooperated with us with just enough rain to cool things a bit but not enough to soup-ify the roads, of which those roads are quite capable. The team is now on their way back home and I am prepping for our next mission. I will be leaving for a mission to Haiti in 6 days. So if I don't get photos posted before then it will be when I come back from Haiti in mid-November. But here is one from just outside Trojes where we stayed during the mission.

We have another mission !! We are going to the Dominican Republic, a new country for SLP :D We will be there from this Saturday till the 27th. I leave tomorrow as I have an overnight in Miami both ways. We will be working with an organization called Freedom International Ministries. They work in the sugarcane villages of the DR. Their focus is on church planting and running a Christian bilingual school near the city of Ramon Santana. We will be installing 4.5kW of solar power with a team from five different cities in three different countries. Should be an interesting and fun trip. Keep us in your prayers please! We had a wonderful visit in the States with family and friends. We also met with our sending church, Ethos. Ethos has been absorbed into their parent church, Faith Assembly, due to insufficient members. They now make up a young adult ministry at Faith. We were able to sit down with Pastor Dan, the head pastor at Faith, and discuss our future with them. Pastor Dan was very encouraging and assured us that Faith will continue to support us as Ethos had in being our US sending church. In addition to that, he said Faith would add some financial support. Praise God !! So everyone please pray for Faith Assembly and the Ethos ministry for growth and provision. I have updated our Support page to reflect the new mailing address for those wishing to support Sutton and me.

We are now back in our home country of Honduras and Sutton is already back to work at Tsebaoth Christian Academy. He will be teaching 6th grade this year :) We also came home to water and power shortages. It seems Honduras is in a major drought so they are rationing water. And since most of our power comes from a nearby damn, they will be rationing power as well. The newspaper says we'll have 4 hours of outages a day for the next month or so. So please pray for Honduras as well. Pray that the Lord will send the rains to water our crops and to provide water and electricity for our residents. Thank you and God Bless !!

Ok, so I am finally sitting down for a bit. I had a very good visit with my family when in town for my grandmother's funeral. Then I went home to a house full of Americans. They came to Honduras for the intense prophetic training, called the EPI, that our church gives twice a year. The EPI is a fantastic week long training in prophetic gifts, spiritual warfare, and so much more. Sutton and I joined the serving teams for the week of the EPI. After that we packed-up and came to the States for a visit with family, friends, and churches while Sutton is on summer break. So we are in the States for a few weeks, two here in Houston, TX and one in Saint Louis, MO.
